The Float for a Cure is a super fun dinner cruise on the Avalon River Boat in Stillwater, MN. There will be live music with headliners Bad Girlfriends with acoustic duos and trios. Full prime rib buffet dinner, silent auction, minute to win it type games and lots more!!

Buy your tickets soon. $60 in advance, $70 at the boat. $45 for children and children under 3 are free.

Float for a Cure will be August 14th, 2020. The boarding will start at 5:30pm this year and will depart at 6:30pm SHARP. Tickets are non-refundable. The Avalon River Boat will dock at 10:00pm.

The Facts of Cystic Fibrosis

- Knowledge is Power -
  • currently about 30,000 people living with cystic fibrosis in the United States alone
  • more than75% of the patientsare diagnosed by age two
  • median age of survival for a person with CF is currently 47 years
  • there is currently no cure for CF
  • starting from a young age, lung damage may occur before it can even be noticed
  • can cause damage to the airways, which often results in a condition called bronchiectasis
  • 31% of people living with CF experienced complications from asthma.
  • people with CF, bile is thicker. As a result, the bile ducts can become blocked, leading to irritation or inflammation in the liver.
  • Poor growth and slow weight gain, even if a lot of food is eaten
  • people with CF may also experience distal intestinal obstruction syndrome
  • Impact on the sinuses

How You Can Help Fight The Battle of Cystic Fibrosis

- You CAN Make A Difference -

Your donations buy research in finding a cure and bettering the quality and quantity of life for cystic fibrosis. You can help through making a donation, volunteering for one of our events or even holding an event of your own. Your own event could be as simple as holding a neighborhood garage sale, asking your local restaurant for a 20% coupon where the 20% goes to the cause.

You can raise money for CF research by attending one of our many events. There are events throughout the year through private fund-raising events and activities. Remember that every dollar we raise gets us that much closer to a cure!
Children Are Special
More than 30,000 children and young adults suffer with and fight cystic fibrosis on a daily basis. CF is a cruel and relentless life threatening disease to all those affected, most of whom are children. To keep our children healthy, CF parents clock hundreds of hours of lung treatments and thousands of pills annually to fight lung infections and malnutrition.
